After 14 years in the healthcare industry, 6 of which have been as an advanced nurse practitioner, I began networking with our community to fill a need that I felt was being ignored.  As a Family Nurse Practitioner I have whitnessed many patients waiting up to a year to have an autism evaluation. Families have expressed the stress of traveling into the office and the effects this can have on the patient's behavior and potentially their evaluation.  I've been working with various specialists in the field to develop an in-home evaluation process to streamline the process, enhance the comfort of the patient, and maintain quality care.
